About Julia

Julia’s background as a trained actor informs her therapeutic approach where she uses the creative arts to explore different perspectives, discover personalised coping strategies and develop real-life problem-solving skills.

With a rich and varied acting career that spanned continents, Julia has lived the powerful transformations that drama can evoke. This deep-seated understanding is the cornerstone of her therapeutic practice at Evolution Creative Arts Therapies. Through visual arts, storytelling, role-play, and a spectrum of dramatherapy techniques, she expertly navigates clients through a journey of self-discovery, helping them to explore different perspectives and build resilient coping strategies.

Her passion for using drama to explore self-identity and tackle life’s challenges shines through in her approach to therapy. She utilises a blend of creative arts modalities, making each session unique. Julia is especially adept at leading group sessions and programs, where she fosters an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages each participant to be creative and thrive!

Currently at the helm of our pioneering school program, X-Press Yourself, Julia is dedicated to empowering young minds through creative expression. This program is a testament to her commitment to using the arts as a vehicle for education and emotional development, inspiring students to express themselves and engage with the world around them confidently.
